We all good intentions to do various things, a bit like New Year
resolutions; but do we always follow through? We are wintering in Spain,
I'm one of the lucky ones, I have found a way of setting up a business
and being able to live anywhere, but I'll tell you about that later.
My good intention was to integrate into the Spanish way of life as fast as possible, learn the customs learn the language etc. So far I know a few words but getting round to speaking fluently is another matter
I started an internet language course, but that necessitated learning things in their required order. I wanted useful phrases, but animals were a big feature, pinguini or leon really doesn't help with the shopping. I know all about animal's drinking water and milk, but not much else. So enthusiasm for my course has waned.
When I have prepared my "speech" to order drinks etc the waitress speaks in perfect English and I find myself lapsing immediately into English. However when you really need some Spanish, like when you are buying curtains or paint, or working out where products are for a menu, the assistant can't understand a word and you wish you had persisted with your course!
I guess the moral of this story is to be sure what you are learning really satisfies you needs before you start!
However I'm sure we made the right decision to winter in the sun, especially when I hear the weather forecast for England; gales, lorries blown over, rain, various areas flooded etc.
Here in the Costa Calida the sun beams down virtually every day. Yes, a bit chilly in the evenings and early mornings but by midday it is usually 20 degrees or more. Oh yes, we have had 4 days of rain!
So what do I do on my laptop? When my partner is off playing squash or paddle tennis, or on his bike, I have a hobby business, I work online and love developing my business and learning new techniques.
Affiliate marketing is the simplest way to start-online. With the guidance of a mentor providing excellent products, sales pages and training you soon see commissions coming in. (Don't try and learn it on your own, it takes much longer.)You begin earning whilst you learn the techniques. Given time and commitment you can build your business to the level that suits you, leaving plenty of time to enjoy other pursuits and time freedom.
There are many internet millionaires!
So be sure what you set out to learn, leads you to the end results you desire, visualise the end result completed, put in some time and effort, believe in yourself and you will be surprised what you can accomplish.
Best wishes for a fantastic 2016.
