Getting A Leg Up The Affiliate Ladder
As an affiliate marketer, making commissions is the life-blood of my business. Naturally, I am very protective of my work. Most of the time I like to work alone but that doesn't mean I don't like to help others get a leg up in this business too, here's why:
You The Super Affiliate
By sharing some of my insider affiliate insights with you in this article, I hope that one day, you will become a super affiliate too. This can only benefit the affiliate revenue business in the long run. You see, when you learn how to approach this business the proper way, I believe you will stand a much better chance of survival in the dog eat dog world of affiliate marketing. When we affiliates promote each other's products, we all get a slice of the commission pie. It's a win-win situation for everyone!
Affiliate Code
In order to succeed as an affiliate marketer and gain the much coveted status of super affiliate, there are certain guidelines you must follow. In other words, if you want to make enough commissions to become the next super affiliate, you must adhere to the affiliate marketing code. The code I am referring to here is simple marketing etiquette. This is a combination of good practice, good manners and old-fashioned common sense.
For example:
Thou shalt not send unsolicited email;
Thou shalt not spam social media sites;
Thou shalt not make unjustified claims.
As Good As Your Last Commission
Now that you know what not to do, what should you do to become a super affiliate? Well first of all you have to be respectful. You are only as good as your last commission, so treat your prospects well and your customers better.
Your Bread And Butter Customers
Once you realise which of the prospects on your list are interested in buying the content you are promoting, look after them. These are your bread and butter. These customers will continue to buy from you as long as you promote products that add value.

From your analytics you will also see that the window shoppers on your list seldom hit the buy-button. Now I'm not saying you should ignore these people, because they too may eventually decide to take you up on an offer, just make sure that you spend most of your energy giving value to those who have voted with their credit cards. These are the people who will also help vote you right up to the status of super affiliate.
